Training Objective
The aim of this training is to familiarize participants with the requirements for conducting machine risk assessments during the design and construction stages of machinery. During the course, participants will learn about the conformity assessment process at the design stage or during construction or modernization of machines. The process will be presented step by step, from hazard identification, risk assessment and evaluation, to taking actions aimed at reducing the hazards present on the machine.
Target Group
This training is intended for machine manufacturers and their employees, design departments, engineers, as well as managers or directors. All persons involved in the design and construction process of machines will be introduced to the appropriate procedures for machine compliance assessment. The training includes a practical workshop on risk assessment for a sample machine or a machine selected by the participants.
Training Topics
- Introduction to the technical safety of machinery
- Basic terminology related to machine safety
- Legal requirements for the design and construction of machines
- Manufacturer’s responsibility
- Technical risk assessment of machines:
- Hazard identification
- Most commonly used risk analysis methods
- Hazard acceptability criteria
- Examples of risk assessment for a selected workstation
- Practical workshop on risk assessment for a sample machine
The training is based on the requirements of the following legal acts and harmonized standards:
